Problem-Based Learning
The heart of problem-based learning classroom is a problem that requires observation and effective solution procedures. It gives precedence to quality lessons, student engagement, students’ self-driven desire to take part in classroom activities or observations. In the Chevron Enjoy Science Project, students learn from solving problems, reflecting on their experiences with classmates and proposing solutions to the problems that can be applied in real life. The method helps develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are essential to effective STEM learning.
